At 1:05 this morning, I officially completed the sewing room makeover. The task was completed in approximately 5 hours and cost roughly $63. That price tag includes the can of paint, storage containers and my nifty chair. With a space that now screams, “Stay here and work!” I truly have no excuse for not sewing. Behold, the magic.
I suffer from sewing room envy. I’m envious of sewing rooms that are tidy, colorful and spacious. My current sewing space is in the corner of the basement. I know. It could be worse. My sewing machine could be stashed in a closet; at least I have a space to work in! But as it stands, the space does not inspire, mostly because it’s a huge mess. It’s also the space intended to serve as storage for surplus items not intended to live in the house. How many of those items are actually necessary or useful is questionable, but alas, most are not mine. Continue reading
