As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, traveling to Southern California with my daughters as tourists is so much fun. I have a new appreciation for the area in which I grew up, including kids’ museums I never had reason to check out when I lived there.
Last winter, my daughters and I ventured to Pasadena to check out the Kidspace Children’s Museum with my sister, niece and my best friend. It’s tucked away in a really darling piece of land near the Rose Bowl.
I need to add the caveat that we are spoiled by the Nevada Discovery Museum - an awesome kids’ spot one mile from my house with tons of great events, activities and rooms for kids of all ages. So when we visit other museums in new cities, we can’t help but compare.
Kidspace was great for the three-year-olds but not appealing for my seven month old. There is one room for babies, and overall the museum felt crowded.
My older daughter and niece loved Kidspace. They got to meet Bob Builder, learn about bugs, physics, and climbed on huge dinosaur bones! I especially appreciated the outdoor play area as it was a nice break from the indoor area.
Would we go back? I’d consider it when my younger daughter is older.Pin It
